Hi, I am Marie

Hey there, I’m Marie Vakakis, a Mental Health Social Worker, Family Therapist, presenter, podcaster, and trainer. My passion lies in supporting people to improve their mental wellbeing by building strong relationships and connections.

I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of individuals and families in various settings, from schools to community health centres. It’s been amazing to see the positive impact that comes from improving communication and understanding of each other’s needs. I continue to maintain a small case load in my practice, The Therapy Hub, where I work with individuals, couples and families, supporting them with their mental health and relationships issues.

As a Mental Health and Wellbeing Educator, I work with businesses, companies and organisations to create healthier and happier working environments. I love using my unique ability to blend in-depth psychological knowledge with a relaxed and engaging style to equip audiences with the knowledge and tools to nurture their own mental wellbeing and provide Mental Health First Aid when required

My ultimate goal is to normalise discussions around mental health, helping to break down stigma and empower individuals to speak openly and confidently about it. Through my programs, podcast and workshops  I bring together over a decade of tertiary studies and clinical experience, with real-life knowledge and experience.

So, let’s work together to improve connections and relationships, and support good mental health and wellbeing.
