Over the last few years, you may have heard more and more people talk about emotional intelligence.

But what does this mean? Emotional intelligence is our ability to understand and manage our emotions in healthy ways. It sounds simple, but for many of us who were taught not to engage with our emotions – this can be hard. And it all gets harder once we become parents, as we battle our own emotions with that of our children.

Helping us to evolve our emotional intelligence is Mental Health Social Worker Marie Vakakis. Marie is the founder of The Therapy Hub, and is passionate about supporting people to improve their mental wellbeing by building strong relationships and connections.
